Dubai 5-Day Itinerary: A Practical First Visit
Five days in Dubai allows a balanced program without rushing every attraction. This itinerary combines heritage, modern Dubai, the desert, Abu Dhabi and a relaxed final day.
Day 1: Arrival and a relaxed evening
After the airport transfer and hotel check-in, keep the first evening light. A Marina or Creek dhow cruise can work well when the arrival time is early enough, but it should not be forced after a late flight.
Day 2: Classic and modern Dubai
Start with Old Dubai, Al Fahidi, Dubai Creek and the souks. Continue independently to Downtown Dubai, or book a private full-day tour when you want the old and modern districts coordinated together.
Day 3: Abu Dhabi day trip
Allow a full day for the UAE capital. The journey from Dubai, mosque visit, waterfront and cultural stops make a complete day rather than a short add-on.
Day 4: Free morning and desert safari
Use the morning for shopping, the beach or an attraction. Keep the afternoon free for the desert safari, which normally continues through dinner and evening entertainment.
Day 5: Final experience and departure
Choose a short attraction, private transfer or free time according to the flight schedule. Always allow sufficient time for Dubai traffic and airport formalities.
